E.T. Day EiGhT

Day 8 - First stop, Oxford.

Oxford is a little college town, home of none else than Oxford University - or Christ Church. It was flippin awesome! I just googled it - because I'm cool like that, and Oxford is the second oldest surviving university in the world and the oldest in the english-speaking world. Christ Church is also home to several scenes in non other than, HARRY POTTER! Here she is:

Downtown Oxford

Next stop - Blenheim Palace. This is home to the Duke of Marlborough and it is AMAZING. Seriously, Buckingham has nothing on Blenheim. Blenheim was the birthplace to Sir Winston Churchill, he was a cousin the the Duke. The Palace sits on something like 2000 acres, everywhere you look it is beautiful!

Our last stop was not far from Blenheim, it was the Bladon churchyard to see the grave of Winston Churchill. Rather than being buried in Westminster Abbey - as OH SO MANY people were before him, Churchill chose to be buried near his family in this little cemetary near his birthplace.
